Our watersports business operates on a seven-day schedule, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The nature of our work is dependent on weather conditions and our operations are seasonal, running from April to October.
We have job openings for full-time and part-time positions. Working weekends and holidays is required.

In this role, you will be responsible for welcoming customers, making and organizing reservations, managing a busy multi-line phone system, helping customers with the check-in process and waivers, operating the POS system, and communicating effectively. The job can be quite fast-paced, so it is essential to be able to think on your feet and multitask efficiently.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years in customer service or related experience is required
- Reliable, professional, energetic, and friendly!
- Must be able to effectively and confidently communicate in person and over the phone
- Flexible scheduling is a must
- Previous knowledge in watersports/watercraft is preferred (but not required)
- Must be willing to learn about watercraft operations and safety procedures
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent

The job of beach staff involves ensuring the safety of customers, maintaining organization, and demonstrating strong customer service skills. This position can be physically demanding and requires comfort with the ocean, as well as exposure to the sun. Effective communication with both customers and other staff is essential. You must possess problem-solving skills, think quickly and be able to multitask. Punctuality is imperative!
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 year in customer service or related experience is preferred
- Must be comfortable with the ocean/exposure to the sun
- Must be able to keep up with the physical demands of the job
- Effectively and confidently communicate in person
- Previous knowledge in watersports/watercraft is preferred (but not required)
- Must be willing to learn and comply with safety procedures
- CPR Certifications are strongly preferred

Parasail first mates must be reliable, safety-oriented, and comfortable on the water all day. Punctuality and strong sea legs are required for this role. The primary responsibility is ensuring the safety of everyone on board, followed by providing excellent customer service. You will interact with customers of all ages, ensuring they feel comfortable, safe, and happy. To perform this job, you must understand the mechanics of parasailing, from inflation to deflation. Additionally, you will be responsible for taking photographs of the guests’ experience.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- Able to pass mandatory drug tests (required)
- CPR certified
- Must comply with and enforce safety rules and regulations
- Strong communication skills
- Reliable, professional, and performs well under pressure
- A positive attitude and enjoying being on the water are a must!

We are looking for banana boat and shuttle captains!
Downwind Sails hires captains who possess a 6-pack license or higher. These captains can hold various positions such as parasail operator, shuttle captain, or banana-boat captain. Their roles are crucial to the day-to-day operations of the business, with safety being the top priority, followed closely by customer service. The position requires a proven knowledge of watercraft safety and performance, as well as the mechanics of the vessel. You will be responsible for daily vessel safety inspections and maintenance, and you’ll need to keep records as required.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- Minimum license required: 6-pack
- Valid CPR Certification
- Must be able to swim and physically assist customers in water
- Previous operator experience is preferred
- Must establish the highest priority of ensuring the safety of passengers, crew, and vessel
- Must be dependable and show up on time everyday
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Must be competent in discretion (and common sense!)

We are currently searching for a qualified candidate who has experience working as a parasail operator. At Downwind Sails, we hire captains who possess a 6-pack license or higher. The position is of utmost importance to our daily business operations. Safety is our top priority, followed by excellent customer service.
To be considered for this role, you must have a proven understanding of watercraft safety and performance, as well as the mechanics of the vessel. You will perform daily vessel safety inspections and maintenance and log records as required. Customer volume is high with a fleet of four parasail boats in downtown Myrtle Beach.
Responsibilities:
- Must comply with and enforce safety rules and regulations
- Flexible with changing environments – especially weather related
- Must establish the highest priority of ensuring the safety of passengers, crew, and vessel
- Must be dependable and show up on time every day
- Provide exceptional customer service
Qualifications:
- Must pass mandatory drug tests

- Minimum license: USCG 6-pack
- At least two years experience as a parasail operator (strongly preferred)
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays, as needed
